

The municipality of Zubin Potok occupies the northwestern position of Kosovo and Metohija in the area of Ibarski (Stari) Kolašin, in the valley of the Upper Ibar, between the mountain Rogozna in the north and Mokra Gora in the south, i.e. Ribarićka gorge in the west to Zupč in the southeast. This westernmost of the three municipalities with a predominantly Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija covers an area of 333.5 km 2 , at an altitude of 550 to 1750 m. In this predominantly rural, hilly and mountainous area, a moderate continental transition to a mountain alpine climate prevails with shorter and cooler summers and long and cold winters with a large amount of precipitation. On the territory of the municipality of Zubin Potok, only road traffic is carried out, primarily on the main Adriatic road E-65 Priština - Kosovska Mitrovica Podgorica - Novi Pazar. The main road M-2 Kosovska Mitrovica-Ribariće passes through the entire territory of the municipality of Zubin Potok in a length of 27.3 km.
